Linux kernel是美国Linux基金会发布的开源操作系统Linux所使用的内核。NFSv4 implementation是其中的一个分布式文件系统协议。 Linux kernel 2.6.38.1之前版本中的AudioScience HPI驱动程序的sound/pci/asihpi/hpioctl.c中的asihpi_hpi_ioctl函数中存在数组索引错误漏洞。本地用户可以借助能够触发访问一个无效内核指针的特制适配器索引值，导致拒绝服务（内存破坏）或者获取特权提升。
