Linux kernel是美国Linux基金会发布的开源操作系统Linux所使用的内核。NFSv4 implementation是其中的一个分布式文件系统协议。 Linux kernel 3.8.6之前的版本中的kernel/user_namespace.c中的‘create_user_ns’函数中存在漏洞，该漏洞源于程序未检查是否存在chroot的目录。本地攻击者可通过特制的clone系统调用，利用该漏洞绕过既定的（chroot目录之外的）文件系统限制。
