Linux kernel是美国Linux基金会发布的开源操作系统Linux所使用的内核。NFSv4 implementation是其中的一个分布式文件系统协议。 Linux kernel 3.9.6之前的版本中的fs/cifs/connect.c文件中的‘build_unc_path_to_root’函数中存在Off-by-one错误。远程攻击者可通过Distributed File Systems（DFS）共享安装操作触发使用异常的DFS名字长度，利用该漏洞造成拒绝服务（内存损坏，系统崩溃）。
