Lycos是一款大型的英文搜索引擎。 Lycos的AcitveX控件实现上存在缓冲区错误漏洞，远程攻击者可能利用此漏洞控制用户系统。Lycos的FileUploader.FUploadCtl.1 ActiveX控件(FileUploader.dll)没有正确地处理分配给HandwriterFilename属性的字符串，如果用户受骗访问了恶意网页并对该属性分配了超长字符串的话，就可能触发堆溢出，导致执行任意指令。
