Net-SNMP是一套开源的简单网络管理协议（Simple Network Management Protocol）软件。该软件用于监控网络设备、电脑设备、UPS设备等。 Net-SNMP 5.7.1及之前的版本中存在拒绝服务漏洞。当AgentX子代理被注册来处理MIB和处理GETNEXT请求时，远程攻击者可通过发送多个GETNEXT请求，造成AgentX子代理超时，利用该漏洞造成拒绝服务（崩溃或无限循环，CPU耗尽，挂起）。
