REDCap是美国范德堡大学（Vanderbilt University）的一个多机构联合发起的一款免费的、安全的、基于Web的应用程序。该系统的设计是用来支持数据挖掘的研究。file upload handler是其中的一个文件上传应用程序。 REDCap 7.0.11之前的7.x版本中的file upload handler存在SQL注入漏洞。远程攻击者可通过向SendITController:upload发送跟踪子字符串利用该漏洞向主要数据库中注入代码，访问和读取数据库的内容。
