Vulnerability Overview Vulnerability ID: USN-8887-2 Publication Date: October 8, 2026 Description: It was discovered that certain AMD processors did not correctly validate the Reverse Mapping Table (RMP) when IOMMU accessed specific host buffers. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to trigger out-of-bounds conditions and compromise the integrity of SEV-SNP guest memory. Additionally, several security issues exist within the Linux kernel, which an attacker could exploit to compromise the system.
