CVE-2026-116461: Business Logic Flaw in Invoice Creation Allowing Price Manipulation

CVE-2026-116461 Vulnerability Summary Vulnerability Overview During invoice creation, a business logic vulnerability allows clients to set prices. Attackers can modify price parameters in requests to purchase goods or services at prices lower than the actual cost, resulting in financial losses. Scope of Impact Affected Product: Invoice creation functionality Affected Versions: All unpatched versions Affected Components: Price calculation module, invoice generation module, order processing module, payment gateway integration, inventory management system, financial reporting system, customer account management, audit logging system, API endpoints, database storage Remediation 1. Server-Side Validation: Validate prices on the server side to ensure they match the prices stored in the database. 2. Price Locking: Lock prices at the time of order creation to prevent subsequent modifications. 3. Input Validation: Strictly validate and sanitize all user inputs. 4. Logging: Log all price modification attempts for audit and traceability. 5. Security Update: Release a security update to patch this vulnerability. POC Code Exploit Code Expected Behavior Prices should be validated on the server side to ensure consistency with database records. Prices should be locked upon order creation to prevent subsequent modifications. All user inputs should undergo strict validation and sanitization.
